Warm Hands edited by Jeanette Sloan and Kate Davies
Warm Hands printed book
Co-edited by Jeanette Sloan and Kate Davies this collection of 15 fresh, bold designs has been created by a global collective of designers, some you may know and others who may be new to you.
Whether you choose to knit mismatched mitts in bold two-tone intarsia or a dramatic pair of elbow-length cabled gauntlets. Or perhaps warm mittens, delicate wristlets, fingerless mitts or full gloves, Jeanette and Kate’s design selection includes a wide variety of shades and styles. There are many different takes on texture, lace and colourwork so there’s sure to be something for every skill level and lots of interesting new techniques for all to explore. This innovative collection brings the work of designers from around the world together with fresh ideas, modern styling, ready needles—and warm hands.
As a black designer and, given my work creating and running BIPOC in Fiber it was really important this collection featured the work of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour. So I'm very proud to say half the designers of Warm Hands are BIPOC and that beautiful diversity is also reflected in the models with whom we were honoured to work when photographing the collection.
If you prefer your patterns in digital format each print copy purchased comes with a code which entitles you to a complimentary digital version that can be downloaded through Ravelry. And, I'm also happy to sign your copy, just check the box below when placing your order.
Please note that each download code is manually attached to the inside cover of your print copy not emailed on completion of your order. It's a bit 'old school' but I think it adds to the excitement of waiting for your book!
